Shianne Mitchell is a paramedic with 21 years of emergency medical services experience. She has worked in both the prehospital and hospital settings. While working in emergency services Shianne felt there was a better solution to care for people than just taking them to the hospital. Shianne became interested in community paramedicine. Shianne was previously a community paramedic in New Mexico providing medical navigation services to the citizens of Rio Rancho.  Most recently she has been providing medical navigation to members of Colorado Springs who need assistance with aging in the home. Shianne currently serves on the Pike Peak Elder Abuse Coalition as well as the Pikes Peak Elder Justice Center Board of Directors, as secretary.
