The Pikes Peak Elder Justice Center (PPEJC) assists with providing behavioral health services to
underserved and underinsured older adults living in the community. Through a collaboration
with the University of Colorado Colorado Springs’ (UCCS) Psychology Department, the PPEJC
provides training for Master’s and PhD students who are supervised by a licensed psychologist.
The partnership between the PPEJC and UCCS links the highest level of academic standards with
the needs of the community that aligns with the mission of the PPEJC.

Behavioral health services are offered on a time-limited basis of 7-9 therapy sessions, and are
free of charge to the client. Services include mental health care and counseling for older adults and their caregivers seeking support with depressive symptoms, adjustment to illness and loss, bereavement
counseling, anxiety disorders, family transitions, and other areas of need.

We collaborate with a wide range of agencies in the community to assist in coordination of care and continuity of services. Our community partners include but are not limited to The UCCS Aging Center, Silver Key Senior Services, The Pikes Peak Council of Governments/Area Agency on Aging, and Rocky Mountain PACE. Without these partnerships, many older adults would not benefit from behavioral health services. For more information about our services, please complete the referral form on this page and we will respond to your request within 24 business hours.
