The Pikes Peak Elder Justice Center is the recipient of a five-bedroom home! Gloria Horne, a retired USPS postal worker, donated the debt-free home to PPEJC to support their Elder Shelter Program. The home will house older adults at multiple levels of need including emergency housing on a weekly basis, temporary housing on a monthly basis, and transitional housing for up to twelve months. The 12-month transitional housing program provides physical, mental and financial health and stability as clients work to acquire long-term permanent housing. PPEJC Executive Director Patrick Cush said,
"Our organization is extremely grateful to Ms. Horne for her generosity towards the Justice Center and for older adults in need in our community."
